This past fall, I did a purge of my daughter’s toys where we got rid of anything electronic. I realized that she got bored with them easily and they did nothing to foster her imagination and creativity. I want my children to play with toys that engage them instead of distract them.
That why I created this (mostly from Amazon) gift guide full of ideas of non-tech toys for toddler girls. It contains a mix of toys we already own that our girls love and toys that they’re consistently drawn to when playing at their cousins.
Hopefully, if you’re struggling with what to get the little lady in your life this will get you on track!
The Best Non-Tech Toy Guide Guide For Toddler Girls
Wooden Dollhouse and Accessories
Flisat Dollhouse – This year, our daughters are receiving this simple one from IKEA. I love how basic it is and have some DIY ideas for a design overhaul. Seriously, just search Flisat Hack on Pinterest and you’ll get tons of inspiration. Plus, it’s only $29.99! (You can get it on Amazon if you are shopping last minute and need Prime to the rescue. But unfortunately, the price is higher.)
Play Kitchen and Accessories
Duktig Kitchen – IKEA for the win again. My daughters LOVE this kitchen. It’s the perfect size for both my 3 and 1-year-old and takes up very little space compared to other play kitchens. And again, just search Duktig Hacks on Pinterest and prepare to swoon. SO CUTE. Again, you can purchase off of Amazon, but you’ll pay more.
For the accessories, you can’t go wrong with Melissa and Doug. Everything we have from them has withstood hours and hours of play. I can’t sing their praises enough!
Baby Doll and Stroller
We actually have two strollers and my girls love “taking walks” through the house with their baby dolls. It’s pretty much the cutest thing ever:)
Mommy’s Little Helper Toys
When the littles become more interested in helping around the house, these sets are a great way to include them in daily household tasks!
Dress Up Clothes
My sports-minded-outnumbered-by-girls-husband knew this day would come, but I don’t think he realized how quickly. Both our girls are constantly in my closet and trying on my shoes so I have a feeling dress-up clothes will be a hit this year.
Magnetic Blocks-My daughters played with these non-stop while visiting their cousins!
Girls Road Map Educational Area Rug-So excited to give this to my girls this year!
B. Wheeee-ls! Soft Cars-These are the cars we are giving along with the rug. Any type of toy car will do but I liked that these looked a bit more feminine.
Anything from Audrey and Don Wood is a favorite in our house. The illustrations are amazing and the stories are captivating for my kiddos! We also are giving our littlest some Dr. Seuss Board Books.
